For several days, as Karis waited for an opportunity for search Hasuamae's room, she was careful to never be seen or noticed by Hasuamae or even Othanik. The personal servants had their own dining room and kitchen beside the main dining area of the palace. Karis was now allowed to be anywhere in the palace as she pleased so long as she was faithful to her duties. The servants' wing faced directly east, so the next morning, a bright golden sun shining right on Karis' face through the windows stirred her to life. It was beautiful. She dressed and entered the dining hall for the first meal, but no one talked to her; no one dared. I made this necklace, carving the pieces out of wood and painting them, and cutting the spades and clubs out by hand. The center piece is vintage lead crystal. From left to right, one die, 'drink me' potion bottle, club, clock, spade, crystal, spade, teacup+saucer with a little bit of tea dripping out, club, and two dice.
